Day #233
not much more is visibly different from yesterday's pictures. but there's dashiell checking out the cabinets. the cleaning people are supposed to come and clean.

a ceiling fan in our room...which wasn't supposed to be. it should be in the family room. what happened?! is it bad? will it look good with our bedroom furniture?! no idea...

random update
i stopped by this morning around 8:30am to make sure workers weren't stranded outisde, and noone was at the house instead. wasn't sure what to make of that. derek needed to go to the valley to pick up the appliances that were previously stolen. they were now in. if we waited for them to deliver it, it wouldn't be till monday; and we need it asap. so mom called her friend from work (who has the truck we borrowed when we went to ikea) and derek went to get them himself. he was gone probably 4-5 hours or so for everything; i stayed at home with the boys. when he got back to the house around 2, there was still noone there. =(
i called EZ just to see if he'd answer, and he did. i asked him what was going on because i didn't see anyone there and mentioned that derek had the appliances to install. he said he'd check on it, and also said that things would all get done tomorrow. he also said that he was headed down to the city to file some paperwork or something.
he called me back about 10 mintues later saying that the 'granite guys' were there finishing up (although i didn't know what part they were finishing up on) and that everything would get done tomorrow.
literally seconds before we were heading down to the pool with dashiell and matthew, derek got a call that the electrician was outside the house with no way in. mixed reaction there. good that he was there, but it was like 3:30 already. so he headed out to the house with brennan while i took the other 2 to the pool.
apparently they installed what derek had brought, which was good.
but now derek feels even more of a need to be at the house with all the extra added stuff there.
hold down the fort, honey! i had suggested that we even bring over dinner and eat there and have the boys run around and play. but he said nevermind, now that there are people there working...
tomorrow i think he wants to try to rearrange the storage unit. i don't really get why, but he wants to. either tomorrow or sunday i'm going to try to pack most everything and leave us some bags of clothing to last 3 days or so. just in case. at the very worst, we'll be moved out of here and just into the moving truck. so we'll sleep at a motel or something till ready.
but we are out of here on the 25th. no ifs, ands, or buts.
